*A TIME OF LABORING, REAPING, AND REJOICING*
( I Samuel 6:13)
The Ark of God had been in the hands of Israel’s enemy, the Philistines, since the death of the Priest Eli and his two sons.
The Ark represented the Presence and Power of God. To the Church, Jesus is our Ark.
Three Thoughts.
(1) (vs 13) “Their wheat harvest”]
To reap there must 1st be laboring and this laboring must be specific.
(vs 13) “Wheat”
The Church has a mandate to work, to sow the incorruptible seed which is the word of God.
(Rev 2:2)
(Psalm 126:5-6)
(Proverbs 11:30)
(2) (vs 13)
*If there is a laboring and sowing, there will be a reaping time.
Our call is to preach and witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
(Romans 1:16)
Notice the word “valley”. We must no grow weary nor give up.
(Galatians 6:9)
(3) (vs 13)
The time of rejoicing came when Israel looked up and saw the Ark.
I believe there are three causes of rejoicing in the Church:
1 When the lost get saved
(Luke 15:10 & I Thessalonians 2:19-20)
2 Rejoice because you are saved
(Luke 10:20)
3 Rejoice in the 2nd coming of Jesus
(I John 3:2)
