Luke 5:36-39
Christianity cannot be
reduced to a list of do’s and don’ts.
Many who followed Christ during His earthly walk had the
idea that the Lord came to supply or add something to the
religion they already had. (Judaism)
Christianity is not Patch Work. It is not a system of
works in an effort to please God. It is something New.
The old garment of our sinful nature cannot be mended.
1. We have a New
Covenant
(Matthew
26:27,28)
Covenant means a strong agreement. God made a covenant
with us through His Son.
(John 3:16)
(Isaiah 53:5)
(Romans 5:8)
2. We have a New
Communion (Fellowship)
(I Cor 10:16,17)
(I Peter 3:18)
(II Cor 5:18-21)
We can enter into the Presence of God because of the
merits of what Jesus did on Calvary.
3. We are New Creatures
(New Creation)

Nicodemus (John
3:3)
Whatever you’ve tried: Church Baptism, good works, without
Jesus all will fail.
