Prayer: Touching Heaven*
Part1: What Are
You Leaving Out?
Mark 1:29-34
and 36-39
Busy, stressful days either strengthen our
Faith or bind us from our Faith.
*Looking into the life of Jesus, we can discover what we
tend to leave out:
*Jesus' Day:
- Spent a good portion of the day preaching and
teaching in the Synagogue (vs
21)
- Cleansed and healed man of unclean spirit
(vs 23-26)
- Arriving at Peter's house, He heals his
mother-in-law
- At night people brought all the sick, etc. for Jesus
to heal
- The entire city came to Him
(vs 33) * (note
vs 36-39 reveal that
the next day in His work would be much of the same)
*What is it we tend to leave out of our busy day?
(vs 35)

Three Things Prayer
Will Do For Us
Most of us hit the floor running; but Jesus
knew prayer would prepare Him for the coming day
(Psalm 63:1)
Jesus knew a great and divine truth: Preparing for the day
with prayer would provide the strength to meet the demands of
the day (John 18:4-6)
What was He doing prior to His arrest?
Praying (Jer 33:3)
Jesus did not try to find time to pray: He
made time to pray. (Matthew
6:34)

Do we not have enough facing us to begin
each day in prayer? Are you leaving anything out? |
